Watched half of the premiere so far but got interrupted. Seems very erratic but I need to finish before I can judge.

Seemed pretty good, I like Mikkelsen's interpretation of Dr. Lector.

anyone watch Hannibal? Seems promising, although I find Will Graham's neurotic behavior a bit over the top. Also, nice to see Hannibal rocking TF, lol.

I like the way his Will Graham character seems to reference William Petersen's performance in Manhunter, with the hysteria cranked up a few notches.

I wondered. At a minimum I thought they were "TF inspired". Especially the peak lapel plaid 3 piece that he wore last week.

The "grand guignol" aspects are a nice touch - the Shrike's lair, the mushroom garden...something that has fallen away from the serial killer genre as the trope has become ubiquitous.

I'm not sure what you mean that he seems to reference William Petersen/Manhunter? I loved that movie, I saw it in the theaters prior to even knowing about the Tom Harris book. When Silence of the Lambs came out I read the book, then Red Dragon and that's when I realized that Red Dragon was Manhunter. I felt Will Petersen did a great job of Graham, I'm really hating this new skittish, frail personality

I have a hard time seeing Eddie Izzard as a killer and overall I felt last week to be a little more transparent than I was hoping for. However, I still enjoyed. Lector's comments during dinner are hilarious.

I think he's definitely in tom ford -- the bright plaid overcoat with padoga shoulders. don't know who else is making anything like that

wasn't a fan of last weeks episode.

I like the show, but I'm finding a few things irritating. I don't like how they are lifting direct monolog from the films "having an old friend for dinner" "the world is a better place with her in it" ect. Love the character of Hannibal with regards to his tastes for clothes, cars and culture. I thought they did that well. Not sure how I feel about the Chilton character just imitating the actor in SOTL, at least Dancy is trying to be original in his interpretation of Will Graham

My only gripe is that I think it would be more interested if they continued to allude to Lector's murderous habits for a little while longer. Why ruin it with the flashback?

FYI: One of the episodes was pulled, parts of it can be found for free online or the entire thing can be found on Amazon/Itunes as an episode if you wanted to pay for it. Pulled out of sensitivity to the Boston Marathon bombing, but I didn't really see the connection (no bombs involved or anything, maybe I'm not sensitive enough)
