I'm in complete awe of this thread. This thing is phenomenal.

QED. It has made every other shoe thread just prosaic. It's all Nutcracker's fault. Problem is he just keeps pouring it on and the addicts just keep slurping it up. :inlove:

I knew Mr. Ohno (formerly from GUILD) did some crazy looking women's shoes....but his men's shoes look quite nice too

The boutique is located close to where I live...maybe I'll drop by and see what's up

Thank you for sharing!
These shoes were made from ILCIA "BETIS CREAM" calf.
They use only white color leather. Toe and heel section hand dyed to cognac color.
Two tone welt(dark brown and beige),very unique details.
The magic of japanese craftsmanship.

I dropped by the boutique ICHO today to see some TYE shoes, but unfortunately, they had no men's shoes samples.
The lady's samples looked pretty nice though.

Yes, those are an spectacular pair of summer bespoke.
According to the ICHO owner, Mr.Ohno (TYE) is doing quite well, and the wait time is getting longer and longer....

Bespoke Shoes "Rikughi" Correspondent full brogue (swan-neck) designed and direction by R.Hanakawa, crafted by T. Okubo http://rikughi.exblog.jp/i23/
Very nice!! Not easy to find recent shoes by Rikughi online... I walked by his studio in Ginza, about a month ago, and took this picture of his windowsill..... I thought it looked quite artistic.... :)

I visited the studio of handsewn welted bootmaker o.e. over the weekend, and I do have plenty of pictures to share. However I started to feel that my previous format of crunching all the shoes into one ginormous post didn't do them justice. So this time, I'll try to post a bit more slowly by featuring a shoe or two per post.

I have taken quite a lot of pictures (of shoes) by different makers, and o.e.'s shoes are definitely among the most photogenic.
Looks great from any angle or detail.

An o.e. original, a **** is cut in the single piece upper prior to lasting. The **** not only relieves the stress from the single piece upper (while being lasted), it also becomes a delightful accent (contrasted with a tongue piece with a lighter shade of red).
