Yep, I totally agreed. Price seems to be very good as well. I guess there must be a long wait for their MTO program.

Was this thread already on SF's 'front page'? If it was, this thread deserves another round.

Wait for MTO shoes is officially 2 months with a fitting scheduled on week 3, But from what I understand, they only take a certain number of orders a month. I think I read somewhere that buyers should reserve a spot at the beginning of the month. smile.gif

I gotta ask.

What country is producing shoes of that sublime beauty? Just the proportions for starters. Then the thumbs up to the great shapes of the 30s/40s.

ethandesu and the folks @ thearmoury are a treasure trove of Spipola pics lol8[1].gif

Seen several incarnations of these before from Cleverley and where else.

Lazy man's shoes w/real laces.

Agreed. I know why they are popuar in Japan, in that you can spend a lot of time lacing and unlacing shoes in the average working week if you are going to high class restaurants, clients' homes etc etc., but I have never seen a 'lazyman' version of a shoe that I thought was an improvement on the original.

Don't get me wrong, I love Lazy man oxford. But I think the 'intention' real laces on the pair looks strange, flux laces are much better with such design.
