If I recall correctly, those boots are based on the Imperial Japanese Army boots from the war. The double welted sole is a nice detail!!

The soles are great, and I like the punched captoe to make them look less like work boots.  The texture of the leather is unusual, what is it?

I think they are Japanese horse hide.

Any idea how they hid the stitching? I've never seen hidden channels on Danite before. Very nice.

The Dainite piece is glued on without stitches.

That dainite is fire, really wish I had more time last time I was in Japan to visit with a few shoemakers
