An Il Quadrifoglio classic: Side elastic shoes with diamond caps.

Looks stunning in brown patina finish. Essentially the same design as the sample pair in blue.

Lovely gusset details. The left shoe has a clover shaped medalion on the inner (heel) counter.

Plaintoe derbies in dark brown calf.

Sleek and clean.

New bespoke sample.... Party shoes for special evenings

Sure of course. You don't need my permission to use the photo smile.gif (not my shoes, btw)

Il Quadrfoglio Bespoke Order #2

So over the past weekend I received my second pair of Il Quadrifoglio shoes from the extraordinary Atsushi Qnai. A pair of split toe derbies.
The last from the first order (a pair of wholecut oxfords) was tweaked further, after I delivered some feedbacks after wearing the shoes for a few months or so. Since the second pair was a derby (vs. an closed laced oxford), a new pair of trial shoes were made to adjust the fit even further.

Trial Fitting from the previous trunk show:

Split toe design on my square bespoke last. I opted to shorten the vamp / lengthen the toe portion even further.

Marking suspicious areas.

The fit was meticulously examined.

... and documented.

Was quite curious to see how a split toe design will look on my narrow square last.

Thanks Fang!
Yeah, I was a bit worried about how they would look in very dark green, but the result blew my expectations away. They should fade to a lighter shade of green with wear.

great pair NC, derby and norvegese combi is so full of win

Wow! Wearable art!

Curious as to why they have different last designs. The one on the first pair doesn't seem like it's using a spring or hinge.

Thanks!! Yes they are! Was initially going to do the chain-type norvegese, but opted for the simple one to make it look less obtrusive.

Thanks Jason!
Hopefully more wearable than my first pair, which sees very few action. biggrin.gif

You mean the shoe trees? The first pair has a set of 3-piece trees, looks great but honestly they are a pain to use. So for the second pair, I opted for a hinged one.

The Japanese are amazing. How artful. I am taken back especially by the thoughtful details on the sole. The areas where the nails are where I have the most wear on my shoes. I would never have thought to put nails there-I'm sure those nails will increase the longevity of the shoe. Bravo, NC and IQ. Superb taste and craftsmanship.
