The only things Brits have is heritage and accessibility to Yankees. Otherwise they are several notches below continental. In other words, Brits have swarms of outworkers but there are swarms of artisans on the continental Europe and Japan.

I saw a pair of Spigola wingtips in person recently, and was just blown away. The difference between them and by Aldens is like the difference between my Aldens and Cole Haans. The elegant shaping is very specific and sexy... they seem to fit like a glove, in the way that they reveal the arch and organic shape of the foot.

I used to work in their neighborhood in Kobe. I'm going to jaunt over there soon. If it's alright with them, I might take pictures and post them here.

Semi-brogues
Spigola's signature chiseled sides are very much alive with Mr. Bottier

Sweet god! Those are stunning!

Are those MTO or RTW? and how much? drool.gif

You must have worn the shoe lightly. I like your camera, it is very clear. Are you serious about your shoe is merely an MTO? it has quiet a lot of details of a bespoke product.

Still cheaper than Jermyn Street firms....

what are their average lead time.

Some of the London firms are quoting from 6-12 months on initial first order.

I waited a good 10 months for my first G&W bespoke shoe, it was good but very pedestrian looking.
