Hi,

I would be grateful for your thoughts on which one to buy - I am losing hair (some already lost!) and would like to shave my head 'MYSELF' being single!

It doesn't have to be razor close but must be able to give a reasonably 'good/close' shave and with ease of use (i.e. DIY)

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Thanks, @sh

Just start with a regular clipper. Then you'll see that it only takes another 10 minutes or so to just use the Mach 3 and you're good to go. At times clippers cause irritation. Good Luck!

Yeah, if you just want it extremely short all over, any clipper set will do. If you want to pay a bit more, get the kind with metal guards because the plastic ones do break, but if you don't abuse it that probably won't be an issue.

Welcome to the forum!

I used a wahl for years w/ none of the attachments. So long as you keep the blades slightly separate, no cutting of scalp.

Now I use a panasonic electric shaver with a beard attachment, which is like a tiny clipper. Only difference is that I have to do it 2x a week instead of once, and afterwards I shave it smooth.
