This is my favourite briefcase, very little leather, the hard, not-highest-grade-hide kind (needs to be conditioned), with a rattan or jute textured exterior.

I bought it when I was in Singapore. I don't use briefcases much- they look a little odd with my ultra casual dress-code (t-shirt and jeans), but it is nice to bring it out for formal interviews.

The compliments are gratifying, especially when people express their willingness to pay much more for it than I ever did. At least one person made such an offer, but it was one I could refuse.

The few nice and unique things I have, which I know I won't find anytime soon, are simply not for sale, unless the price is well beyond my expectations.

Is this from the seller nick1974selling on ebay? Though most of his items end up way out of my price range I love to ooh and ahh at the vintage leather items he sells. Some of the briefcases are unbelievable. EDIT: Just remembered I saved a couple photos of one I really liked.
