Damn they look nice but dont wanna spend €975 on a briefcase really .. Something cheaper maybe? $500?

I've had several from Jack Georges and have been very happy. Here are two I like a lot. (Have the top one in British Tan)

350

350

They're cases are made in the USA (many of them, anyway) and reasonable at ~$500.

chobochobo, great patina on that briefcase. Is it vintage or treated in some way?

Hey everyone,

I've been browsing for a long time and wanted to join and share.

This is my briefcase: it's from 1945, snagged through ebay. I love the wear/character it has. It's a nice stiff leather that remains upright, which I wanted.

(Sorry--I can never figure out how to imbed a photo on a forum)

^^ Looking good

I saw a very similar bag going for like $800-$1000 at the RRL store in Soho

Here's my custom made bag, just got it yesterday ahead of schedule. Very pleased with the look, now just have to see how it holds up over time:

A few quick details:

  • Full grain American steerhide leather in medium brown
  • Hand stitched
  • Brass hardware
  • Shoulder strap not shown but included

Does anyone have an SAB Whitehall? I would love to see a pic of someone holding one. It is really hard to get a sense of scale from a bag-only pic.

Technically, probably not a briefcase as its a bit larger but this is probably the most appropriate thread after Recent Purchases - Cucinelli:

^ Not bad but Cucinelli, really? If spending that kind of money why not get a well known maker, like SAB or Valextra
