Looking forward to the pictures!

They have two bag's in the style you like and use vegetable tanned leather. I have no firsthand experience with the brand but one of our resident experts on "manbags" @rach2jlc vouched for them.
.

I did. And I still vouch for Linjer.

I subsequently bought several pieces on my own dime after my review (a tote, a laptop sleeve, a slim brief, and the zip portfolio) and after use for nearly a year they are still performing well. Also gets a surprising amount of compliments. Read my original review for all my comments, but I still stand by my original estimation.

Yeah they look like good stuff and I think they have done an outstanding job with community relations on this board. I do think it's good to provide options. Too bad there are not a lot of them at this price point worth buying.

Wow. Beautiful work. Just curious, but what do you charge for something like that?

£1250. It takes around a week to make one of those because everything is done by hand.

A few detail shots of the mini briefcase. It's made from taurillon calfskin leather.

What is taurillion leather, if I may ask? Is it some form of stamped grain leather, or shrunken leather?

It's a from a baby bull and yes it's a shrunken leather. Exact same leather as Hermès Taurillon Clemence.

What do you guys think about the Cole Haan Mckinney Briefcase? I really like the sleek, professional style, but I'm hesitant to throw $450 down because I only hear bad things about Cole Haan quality.

Does anyone have this or seen it in the wild? Can't find any 3rd party information regarding leather quality, durability, etc.

I'm new to the briefcase game so any other recommendations for similar bags below $500 is greatly appreciated.

Some folks were interested in some of the 'in progress' shots that I posted from a case a while ago, so I thought I would post a few more of a case just shipped today. Making of a bridle wrap briefcase in modern proportions, Australian Nut English Bridle, complementary thread tone. A lot of customization on this briefcase - mid-case newspaper pocket with key lanyard, three zippered pockets on the rear lined panel, a large holder for business cards, etc

Hope you enjoy the seeing some of the process of creating these bespoke briefcases. Many components and hours involved, needless to say. The workshop pictures don't really do the case justice in the end, but I think it's instructive to see the pieces of the puzzle occasionally. I'll be sure to post a quick shot of the final case when I receive edits from the photographer.

Cheers,

Shane Trudell
