Need some advice. I have the s110 but it doesn't really pack the punch that I would like it to. Image quality is ok, and better than I would expect from a P/S but still not enough to convince me, particularly in the case of low light situations. The problem is I got the camera for $250 through some deal and the next reasonable upgrade that I would consider is the RX100m II (which I've heard is worth the premium over the RX100) but that would be a $500 upgrade. Anyone think it would be worth the cost? Video is a non-issue for me, which seems to be the main drawback of the RX100s.

Keep in mind that my P/S is the only camera I use, and I would need it for more than just basic photo/emails (which the S110 does just fine).

Assuming you're wanting to stay with a small form factor and fixed lens, I'd say yeah, it's worth it. There's really nothing that compares to it at the moment. If you could deal with a fixed 28mm prime lens, the Ricoh GR is just 50 dollars more (I have it and it's great) with a larger, APS-C sensor.

Yeah, form factor is the primary issue for me. I had a 5dmkii setup which was great but hindered by the fact that I never carried it around with me. Also don't want to reinvest in lens. I think I'll play around with the s110 and give it more of chance, then upgrade to the rx110mii if some deals show up. It's only been out for a week anyway.

Got this one on a recent train ride to the Adirondacks.

turns out that the 'smart remote' function on NEX's (preview and trigger shutter wirelessly from your iPhone) is great for snooping people.

Took a trip to Leather Soul BH the other day. Definitely shouldn't have gone. Shot w/ NEX-6.

I have always been interested in photography, but started off pretty late. I just got my gear late last year and have been practicing since. Here are a few pics I took during my trip to Europe. I'd love you guys' feedback.

I like the skate stuff, especially these three. Do you read the skateperception forums? Not that you asked for advice but with the type of close-in, fisheye skate shots I prefer the ones where I can see the skater's face/expression. And the landscapes look a little washed out imo, if you agree you could probably mess with them in post.

I recently tried out my local costco for processing/scanning film, and they sorta screwed up the scans, although I think the negs are OK. Will prob go back to Calumet instead, although Costo was soooooo cheap.

Also picked up this little guy for $10 at a thrift shop. Running a test roll through now.

funniest thing. skateperception is the reason i'm here actually. years ago they had a WAYWT thread, in there i found a link to hypebeast. after lurking hypebeast i found styleforum and decided i like the feel here better. essentially, i can thank skateperception for my current fashion interests.

thanks for the feedback shore. i wish i could get out and shoot more. i feel like these types of shots can only improve with experience.

Yeah skate photography is definitely its own art, and when it's good it's so good. I don't have enough friends who skate anymore to really get into it. What do you use for the fisheye shots?

I only lurk skateperception and lust after some of the stuff in their classifieds.
