British shoe sizing

Sorry in advance if this is an obtuse question. Can anyone tell me the difference between an "F" fitting and an "FX" fitting shoe using the British shoe sizing system? thanks.

All I can tell you is that the difference in width between a size 9 C&J "E" and "EX" fitting is that the latter fitting is 1/8" wider. I'd guess that the "FX" fitting is somewhere between American "E" and "EE" widths.
