I'm not a fan of the tan shoes with navy suit look, but this is an overstatement as is including it on this list.

What about black shoes with any kind of tan pants?

And clunky loafers with suits

If you're going to allow loafers with suits then I don't see the point to excluding only certain shapes. I could see forbidding moccasin-style loafers (except for Guccis) but allowing welted styles, though. I lean in that direction myself, but I might do it with a cotton or linen suit. I'm much more open to the idea of loafers with suits than most, though.

- square-toed shoes
- matching tie and pocket square sets
- black suits
- black odd trousers
- black or any other dark shirts
- jackets that don't cover your rear end
- ties worn without jackets

Anything else?

This should be reserved for truly awful stuff, not venal and controversial offenses like navy odd trousers or gray odd jackets.

How about that scarf in your photo?

How about jackets without pocket squares, full Windsor knots, skinny lapels...

Too many... confused.gif

Agreed on this one. It still shocks me that people even do it. I thought everyone knew this.
