Boils (NSFWE - Not Safe For While Eating)

Ok I have a quick hypothetical. Let's say someone developed a rather large boil right outside their pooper (yep, not on the cheek). Does one pop it? Ride it out or what? Let's say it seems to have been around for almost a week. Doesn't hurt but throbs just enough to know that it's there. This person tried looking it up on google but the first set of responses were lame.

Just wondering what you guys thought...

There is so much material here for a good laugh, but I'll refrain.

Are you sure it's a "boil?" and not a hemorrhoid?

Probably best to have some qualified person (i.e., not you or your buddies) look at it.

This is what doctors are for.

It's a gummy bear.

lol 'quick hypothetical'

Good luck with your boil. Sounds like a hemmorhoid.

Wow. I continue to be amazed at the level of personal detail with which some people are willing post.

Good luck with your boil. As noted by others, see a doctor...

yeah, that's a 'roid, or "grape" i would NOT pop it. i like to eat them frozen, or have them peeled and fed to me whilst being fanned----grapes, i mean.

It's a hemorroid, dude. Go see a doctor but you are likely fine. It will go away with time but you are likely to have it around for life.

Hypothetically, this thing would look like a giant pimple

Hypothetically, go see a doc. As a giant pimple, that would, hypothetically, have a lot in common with the symptoms of a local skin infection like cellulitis, which would require a course of antibiotics. Whereas waiting it out could, hypothetically, lead to other complications. Regards, Huntsman

I never knew people still got boils. It's positively medieval.

I think you should show us what you talking about.

Seriously, listen to Huntsman.
Been there, you don't want it to get worse.

+1
I pointedly ignored it this thread for a couple of days, but unfortunately idle curiosity got the better of me. Good luck, man, and +99 on seeing a doctor.

You should be able to arrange a mirror or two in order to see it yourself.

THis boil/hemmeroid may have been viewed before. It may've taken some leg work but it may've been done. This person that may be striken may be seeing a doctor friday morn'. Hypothetically this thing could be gone soon.
