PURPLE Label, Prada shoes - Page 2

It was more of the fact that you said that a Polo that can be found just about anywhere that sells PL was a one of a kind piece that got everyone on the attack, not really the fact that there is another thread in this forum that has the same polo for sale. (Although that again, goes against the "one of a kind" comment). Also, if you live in Chicago, shouldn't you have already seen TONS of these PL Polos at the Chicago Flagship?

Poor bastard is taking a beating. A little tip on coming to a new forum. It may not have been the best idea to make your first post trying to sell stuff, especially when it is over priced for used goods. The people here are well informed and can sniff out a bargain or lack there of from miles away.

I'm new here, I so perhaps I didn't realize that the concept of an ASKING price didn't exist here. Please forgive me.

Also, I don't outlet shop for PL so I had no idea that these could go for $69. I realize that asking prices shouldn't be set by how much you paid, but rather how much they're worth, so everyone is free to make me offers. I thought that was the whole point here...

And as for a defense of my one of a kind comment - I've never seen a PL like this one. Not a great sample size, but I do live in chicago and there's several million people here and I do get around and I've never seen another one on anyone. So perhaps for you english mavens out there - it's a unique polo.

Anyway, point being, offers are accepted - in retrospect I probably wouldn't have set my asking price so high, but why does that even matter?

You posted a picture of a wrinkled polo thrown on the ground, and a stock photo of the label, and want to sell it used for $75 when a reputable store is selling the same exact thing brand new for $65? What do you expect people to say? A used RLPL polo is worth $40 tops.

It matters because you lose credibility as a seller who doesn't accurately represent the value and/or qualities of the item(s) you have for sale. Given the relative sophistication of the members on this board, that's a total deal breaker. I'd suggest going the ebay route.

lol.

It's true, I did take a picture of the shirt on the ground.

However, I take it as a supreme compliment that you think the 2nd picture is a stock photo. It's not, I took that myself

As for other denigrating comments - I'm no noob to online fashion forums, so please. I like the idea of this forum, especially since I will be working in finance when I graduate (3 months!). After checking out this forum, I bought my first Armani suit (emporio) and will probably be quite interested in what the rest of you guys have to say about other business attire.

Make me an offer of 40+ for the shirt.

David.

Hmm, not really.Don't get me wrong, they're decent enough slightly fashion forward suits - I have two, but I got them at deep deep discounts. But either I read the forum wrong, but I would never have thought that immersing onself in the many threads here would lead to that route and buy an Emporio suit.

Well what I learned from lurking on this board are the types of things to look for and the way a suit is supposed to fit on one.

Yeah it's not a brioni or borrelli or anything like that, but I think it fits me great and the build quality is great and the wool is great as well. I think that sometimes people need to disassociate themselves from a brand name and recognize that at a certain point most pre-made suits are of about the same quality (if not, there's marginal differences). So find one that fits well...and I did, just happened to be emporio

Would you reconsider and trade a Brooks Brothers gift card with a value of $75 for the unique purple polo?
