Hey guys,

I'm new from honestforum and supertalk (you can check out my feedbacks there if you'd like).

I have a couple things to sell that aren't appreciated by their palates, but which I'm sure might find a good audience amongst y'all.

First is a Purple Label Polo:

RL PURPLE Label Polo in size Medium. Not your average polo polo - this is RARE **** - made in Italy of Mercanized cotton, it's soft and pretty. Retail was a little north of 200 if I remember correctly. Slim fit and classy, nothing like the polo with the silly horseman and stick.

ASKING 75

Next is a pair of Prada Shoes:

Prada Shoes, not worn that much anymore. Prada shoe sizing is pretty much irrelevent, so for comparison I wear a 11.5 and these fit nicely. They're a mix between dress (they have VERY supple leather) and athletic shoes (comfortable, slip on). I guess Prada was trying to copy cole haan on this one. Either way, they're pretty sweet. Oh and it comes with it's original dust cover (pictured). I'm not sure where I put the authenticity card, but if you buy it I'll make a concerted effort to find it...

While RLPL polos are indeed "some next level ****," perhaps even rare, they damned sure never retailed for 200+.

not to rain on on your parade, but mercerized cotton is not "rare". You can find it on any bobby jones polo shirts, or most golf shirts for that matter.

From the RLPL website and this is the lower-end non-mercanized cotton. $195 for the polo. And if I dare say, the pattern and unique roman-emporer purple make this peice one of a kind.

I own about eight of these polos, which are called Lisle by RLPL. They sell them brand new on their website for $69 quite often, and you can find them at the polo outlets for cheaper. I have also seen them on sale at times at various polo boutiques. I bought a lavender one at the polo boutique in Caesar's for $49.

You're in the wrong place if you think you can pitch a used PL polo for $75 that way.

I thought the first one was a typo but now I'm worried. The word is mercerized. I know cursive letters on Ralpk Lauren labels can be hard to read...

yeah, sorry about the bad grammar. mercerized cotton, it was a late night after the gym.

I'm new here, I so perhaps I didn't realize that the concept of an ASKING price didn't exist here. Please forgive me.

Also, I don't outlet shop for PL so I had no idea that these could go for $69. I realize that asking prices shouldn't be set by how much you paid, but rather how much they're worth, so everyone is free to make me offers. I thought that was the whole point here...

And as for a defense of my one of a kind comment - I've never seen a PL like this one. Not a great sample size, but I do live in chicago and there's several million people here and I do get around and I've never seen another one on anyone. So perhaps for you english mavens out there - it's a unique polo.

Anyway, point being, offers are accepted - in retrospect I probably wouldn't have set my asking price so high, but why does that even matter?
