Red Wing shoe care

Thread Starter

I recently got some new Red Wing boots in oro-iginal leather, like these:

Normally I use leather grease to take care of boots:

Red Wing advices to use a leather oil for these boots.

Can I use the grease on this boots or would you advice buying some leather oil. I would love to hear some experiences/advice on this.

i had that same pair, used leather oil (that made them much darker) and then slapped obenauf's lp on them.

worked fine for them, but since the original color of them is so light, they will look a little discolored until you put a few layers of oil/lp on them, then they even out.
