◕ ‿ ◕ 2013 APRIL No Purchase Club - Page 3

You should be okay - you outbid me on those socks at 8:01PM PDT. So it was still 3/31, assuming you're in a US time zone. biggrin.gif

But, if you're feeling guilty, we can call it a proxy purchase for me and that definitely shouldn't count against you... nod[1].gif

Well what have we here... A vendor, who's every signature'd post is an advertisement for his business, coming into my beloved NO Purchase Club,
crapping and blaming a handful of people who want to give their wallets a break, as being somehow responsible for a bad economy.

That's like having a liquor store representitive come to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting telling the group that rehab is for quitters.

Well thank you very much for your concern. May I be in charge of my thread now?

LOCKDOWN.....................
Allllright ladies, welcome to Boot Camp,
and here are the rules...

1) No Spending on clothes or any clothing-related items for yourselves for a month.
You may window shop and surf the net, you may salivate, but you will not spend.
2) Those of you who signed up before deadline can allow yourselves $100 for emergencies only.Spend it as you see fit and we don't need to hear about it.
3) You will perform maintenance as needed during the month, be it polishing shoes or whatever.
'Before and After' photos are welcomed and encouraged.
4) Anyone who falls or fails must report the spending amount and article purchased.
5) Even if you fall, you must complete the month, so that means try harder.
6) Anyone who fails will submit to a punishment of my choosing and you WILL do it.

As you are all here of your own free will, I commend your strength to come this far.
I encourage each and every one of you to try to save some money during this month.
The first step to inner strength is to stop putting temptation in front of your eyes,
so may I further encourage you all to get to work cleaning and putting away winter things,
getting out the spring items and prepare your wardrobe rotations.

By the time this is over, you people will be born again wealthier and ready to dress for warmer weather.
I will motivate you. You, in turn will motivate one another.

Matty Long Legs, you fell on your sword, what went wrong.
This may be hard at first but I wan't you to get up and continue the challenge. See the month through.Thank you for fairly reporting the spending.
I have some pre-written punishments here. Choose a number from 1 to 6.

I actually won the auction yesterday, but paid today. Beyond that, I'm officially out. I need a new blazer for some upcoming work conferences in early May and June. The only navy blazer I have now is a wool/cashmere blend and that won't work in San Francisco and Atlanta. I thought I could put off the purchase until the first of May, but that won't give me enough time to get it tailored.

Good luck to everyone.

Damn that was quick. To be fair however I myself am always tempted to go buy more shoes, something that surely won't go away during April "just because."

Alright, if you say so. But you will be on the Wall Of Shame this month. Better luck next time.
Since you are in need of tailoring, may I recommend our affiliate vendor David Reeves. Tell him I sent you.

Cheers Flirty. Anyone else wanna help a brother out?biggrin.gif

Why do you think you need the emergency fund? And is this just an issue of registering late and not qualifying for the emergency fund? Or are you needing a larger emergency fund? If it's just because you registered late, I'll give you a thumb. If it is an expected need, then it depends on what you need it for.
