Ted Ginn to Miami!

Wow, big surprise here...

I can't believe Miami passed on Quinn to draft Ginn; wow.

OMG Brady Quinn got past Miami.(a bad decision IMO, do they like Trent Green that much?)
Looks like we know who is this year's Aaron Rodgers.

Good choice, IMO. I think Quinn is ridiculously overrated. ND deserved to lose to UCLA and a few other teams, and Quinn performed terribly in the big game. He made very bad decisions in the Sugar Bowl... I love him sliding. Right now people are projecting him as going 22 or beyond... I can see Miami, Cleveland, or some other team trading next year's #1 to pick Quinn later in the first, though.

May be you're right on Quinn, but Ted Ginn's probably as far from a top 10 pick as it gets IMO. He's too soft, has suspect hands; essentially the Fins just got a pricier version of Wes Welker.

All the players who admitted smoking marijuana got picked in the top 10. What's not to love about the NFL?

I think Ginn was a top 10 pick before he hurt his ankle. Ginn is the fastest WR in the draft, he's kinda like Reggie Bush when he has the ball, yards after the catch were ridiculous at OSU. I think they could have gotten him a lot later, though.

Minor point, but I think the Houston Texan's pick, Amobi Okoye, is a "character pick", and hasn't admitted smoking marijuana.

He's also 19 years old, so it will be interesting to see when if ever, he is able to help the team.

Arguably, the Texans, under Charlie Casserly as GM did the worst drafting job in the NFL for the previous 6 years.

Okoye was one of the three people that admitted smoking pot.

I don't think Dallas will take him, since they have Tony Romo, but I think Cleveland or one of the other teams will trade next year's pick to get him.

Dude, I give those three credit for being honest.

What % of college kids haven't tied pot?

Oh, and Okoye entered college at 15, and has graduated now at 19, who cares if he smoked pot?

Now do we see a LJ trade with Lynch off the board?

You got me. Ah, the new NFL generation!

OK, maybe he has only tooted coke and has never smoked it

And if he is one of 3 that admitted smoking pot, then 7 haven't admitted it yet.

That's progress

Three people admitted smoking pot in the interviews. Calvin Johnson (picked #2), Gaines Adams (picked #4), and Amobi Okoye (picked #10) All three were picked in the top ten, meaning that their admission didn't affect their draft position. I imagine that was whacked's point.
