Btw, 11 USC Trojans drafted this year. The most of any school by a good 3-4.

USC has a high number of players taken in every draft. At least since Carroll took over. I'm amazed at their success considering they rarely have any seniors at their skill positions.

People usually underestimate USC when there is a mass exodus to the draft. The (currently) no-name guys waiting in the wings are just as talented as the guys they are replacing. It's a testament to his recruiting prowess.

i'm happy with what the bears did, even if the offer for boldin didn't workout...now it's just waiting for preseason to start! (boldin still may be a possibility...)

I remember people talking about stafford and how he was a potential #1 pick at midway through the college season. I started watching him play, probably 5 or 6 games total, and i was thoroughly disappointed every game. hes not accurate, takes forever, and makes the wrong decision too much. Think Flacco but without a good team. Why do people say that flacco had a good rookie year. he looked terrible (as most rookies do), but won games because he only had to be apart of 10 points a game. his defense gave up ~11 and scored ~2 per game. a running game that had 1500 yards and 17 td's. i just dont see the difference in stafford and flacco, in terms of prospective nfl players

Being drafted in the first round of the NFL draft makes you an instant celebrity. You get millions of dollars even though you haven't really done anything and everyone adores you for a very brief period of time. Then you start to make a few mistakes and suddenly nobody likes you anymore and everyone is rooting against you. This is a tragic lesson that both Britney Spears and Ryan Leaf learned the hard way

Ah yes, how I longed for the days where Britney was a #1 pick...
