Mercedes really made a glorious vehicle with the new CL, IMO. I love the pillarless look. Opinions?

Although I like the lines, I find the back reminiscent of the Oldsmobile Aurora.

CL has been pillar-less for quite a while now, even back when it was the S-Class coupe. I saw one in black, with AMG body kit on the road and even though I don't like the way it photographs it really looks good in real life. Granted, not as good as the Bentley Continental GT, but still good.

Gorgeous car! I've always liked the CL55 AMG.

Comparing the CL to the Continental GT is like comparing JCPenney to Neiman Marcus

I like the slope of the roofline but I am mixed about the car as a whole. I think the front of the car looks very heavy compared to the rest. I'm also not a huge fan of the large wide body fenders on the car. I think they look fine on certain cars like the M3 but on a car that is borderline luxury I think they look rather silly. It really is the front 1/3 of the car that bugs me the most.

I see your Olds Aurora and I raise you Ford Focus.

This V12 will not see US roads gas gazzler tax would be too high. I bet first 500 cars will be pre-ordered by russians

The much pronounced fender flares detract from the elegant overall look of the car and detract from the rest of the car. This isn't a sports car, it is a grand tourer and they should have kept it simpler in this area. Other than that, it is a beautiful car.

Yes it will. S600's are already one sale in the US. And MB will b ring the S65 AMG and the CL65 AMG to the states.

I don`t think it looks very good in real life. It looks very similar to the CLS and doesn`t really look more expensive either.

I saw the CLS and CL parked next to each other, and that what my impression.

The 93-98 S class looks like a whaling boat, except classy. I'd much rather take a BMW 7 series from the same vintage (95-2001). That said, the new CL looks weird with all the glass space behind the driver. It seems to make the front look squished in and while I'm sure the driver is comfortable in all that leather and walnut, when you buy a car like this, it's all about appearance anyway!
