Just interested to know if people see Patrick Jane (The Mentalist) as well dressed or sloppy??

He obviously wears an old 3 piece, linen shirt and scuffed shoes which on paper sounds like a homeless person.

However somehow it seems to work. (in my opinion anyway)

Just like to know others thoughts on it?

From a "Classic menswear" point of view surely this is all wrong? ( I think he also wears shoes lighter in colour than his suits sometimes.)

Maybe he carries it off cos he is annoyingly good looking???

I don't think you'll find many supporters of this look on SF, but I like it.

I think this is a perfect example of the idea that if you are good looking, you can wear whatever the heck you want. I'm not a huge fan of his look, but considering how the average American dresses, I think he looks okay by comparison. We at SF tend to judge clothing with extremely high standards because it is something we love and a hobby for many of us. It's probably a good idea for us to remember that mediocre by SF standards is pretty darn good in most places in the real world.
