By the way, the tie knot should be asymmetrical. It's the asymmetry that makes it look better. One reason, for example, why jackets and coats only have one breast pocket.

Wow...that's deep man. That's real deep! Learn so much here. So many good people. Lol

By the way, you bought 20 ties at 200 bucks each?!?! Shit, either they're all Charvet, or you really friggin' overpaid. But, sounds like you're not hurting, so more power to you. I'm just jealous.

don't be jealous. I am just a homer. I think I exaggerated a bit. I got a very nice Charvet (Royal Blue) and a Tom Ford (Sky Blue) and a Zegna...last week. I think I should go to Zegna only for their suits and nothing else. So over the past one month, I think I've actually gotten 5 to 8 Zegna neck ties. I went for the designs. Charvets and Brioni aren't really my cup of tea. Whatever Zegna ties I can return I will return today. I've already returned one yesterday. As for the shirts...I need to have a "sit down" session to figure out exactly what the problem is

LOL - I was actually thanking you and was really impressed with your comment. Sorry if I came across as sarcastic. Your comment really made sense and was almost like an enlightenment. I was gonna go for the Windsor because it was symmetrical but your comment made me realize FIH is just fine.

I don't doubt it! I have a couple of charvets, and also grabbed a pocket square at their shop when I was there in January, but I've never seen a TF tie.

1. Is the knot getting better? (I am working on the shirt)

2. This is a Tom Ford tie. It is very nicely "quilted(?)." One of two recent purchases that I am glad I made.

Much better. Good dimple. Now tighten it up so we don't see the button, or it looks sloppy. The tie is nicely woven, as you say. biggrin.gif
