Derek's recent post on foul weather boots got me thinking: these are my so called adventure boots made by Sanders & Sanders. I wear them in the rain, snow, and to bars. They have about 20 coats of Obenaufs Heavy Duty LP. As you can see there is still a bit of work to be done to get a real mirror shine, and i left all but the toecap still waxy for contrast, but this was done somewhat hastily as an experiment to see if Obenaufs or snoseal (this has both) somehow permanently dulls the leather with the waxy outer layer.

My hand is on fire but, those who have mink oiled or obenaufed your shoes, rest assured that it can be done. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
