Khaki's of Carmel has two or three styles of split toe loafers from EG. You can't drag pics off the website but I found this:

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

Some splits are too long in the toe and some are too short. I think Bontoni nailed it on this one.

Used to hate split toes. Now I love these. Just like with double monks. I feel the pic doesn't do justice to the shoe. It's definitely not a dress shoe but is the best casual all-year-round leather shoe I've ever had. Why? Because they are perfect to pair with jeans, chinos or cords and they are fabulous to walk with. If I go on an urban city vacation, these shoes always follow.

Just bought a pair of Alden New England Calf split toes off ebay, can't wait to get the puppies home. Am seriously lusting after two pair of Alden's exclusive to Unionmade:

Lousy picture, but I greatly enjoy my JM Weston 598's in tan.  They go well with Jeans and dressed up to odd jacket and slacks.  Very durable and well made, they are worth the price.  What I am wearing today.....

I think I actually prefer split toes with jeans than wingtips.

lol then I'd lose my only pair of good walking shoes, running shoes excluded. But I see your point; it ain't the sleekest of shoes but extremely comfortable.

Did you actually suggest burning down every pair of non sleek lasted shoes you see?
