Fit is what matters when wearing a pair of jeans. Don't look at the brand, get a pair that fits you well.

i already own quite a bit of diesel jeans. Ksubi and some other brands.

i want to try more diesel, g star, ksubi, and naked and famous jeans but the cost of these jeans add up quite a bit.. lol

I just placed an order for a pair of G-star.

let me know if there is a "good" online/offline store to purchase these jeans.

DJ premium.com sells pretty much everything youre looking for at discounted sales when they through the old stuff up. Fit, or cut,  changes fairly drastically in some higher end brands compared to levi etc.  I don't know your body type--- but if it helps my body type is athletic, short, big legs, big ass.

With that said, my favorite for fit/comfort is 7FAM.

Favorite for just comfort is Joes.

True religions fit me very well, I stick with their simple washes and just plain classic ricky. I don't like all of the extra focus on the pockets--- ricky is wild enough for me. I live in texas, so it is very easy to pull off true religions when everyone else is wearing miss me.

I do not like diesel jeans because they fit me badly, may be good on you.

Cut on Rock & Republic suck for my body--- may be good for you, although they are not high end anymore... kohls R&R quality feel pretty bad to the touch.

size 28 is very small for guys.  Are you sure you wear a 28 in the designers that you're looking for? Go to a brick and mortar store that sells the designers you want, try on, and see if exactly what cuts and styles fit you well.  Not all diesel fit the same, not all 7s fit the same, gotta try em on. I range from a 29-32 in the same brand name of jeans on different cuts.

Those brands aren't very well regarded 'round these parts.
