The one in Union square on Kearny?

The store sales probably couldn't justify the rent, which has no doubt increased dramatically year over year. The real estate market in SF, both residential and commercial, is batshit crazy booming. Rent in SF is starting to make Manhattan look like rural Louisianna. Blame the ongoing tech bubble.

You're joking right? I moved from my top of the line renovated elevator apartment in the marina with a view of the golden gate to manhattan two years ago and pay over 3x more in rent. $6500/month for a fifth floor walk up with rodents, and paid the routine 15% annual rent brokers fee (which doesn't even exist in sf). Sf rent may be high, but working on the side in real estate, it is a fraction of manhattan pricing. I'm currently in Chelsea London (with a great renovated apartment with a massive private garden) subleasing my mouse infested one bedroom that often lacks heat and hot water in NYC, making a killing as no where in the world has rent remotely comparable to manhattan.
