I have to ask, why did it shrink? Because you washed it incorrectly? Hot water is an enemy of wool. From my own experience, wool sweaters don't shrink unless they were washed incorrectly. Wool sweaters don't shrink by themselves.
Did you follow the care instructions to the letter? If it says "Cool hand wash only." or "Dry clean only." you don't put it in washing machine on a hot program. If it shrank through incorrect washing, it's more than likely ruined, the wool fibres are damaged.
Perhaps your shirts are just worn out, may be time to replace them? Post some pictures.Edited by MikeDT - 3/3/13 at 4:27pm
