I just bought these lee collins jeans from someone on the style forum, but now googling lee collins I can't find anything on them-- on the forum search either.

Did I make a poor purchase? Has anyone heard of lee collins?

hi, another question. i ahve a pair of edwin sens that are a little too baggy for me. wondering if i can get them tailored to be tapered/slimmer. however, theyre selvage.. any advice on what i should do for em? tyia

Perhaps I did not ask it right the last time, my question was drowned in the details. I am moving from Dubai to Indianapolis (W. Lafayette) so going by the weather reports there I think I need a rain coat or so. Does anyone know any good deals on raincoats or overcoats?

I've been wearing the KMW 1950's for a few days now and I love them. The denim has a great texture, somewhat supple. The construction is fantastic. And I've never worn a repro cut before but I wonder why I never did since I'm really enjoying the fit. The higher rise took a little while to get used to, or maybe it just took a little stretching and conforming to my body, because now that they sit comfortably on my hips, the whole fit of the jeans throughout is perfect. My only issue is that the 32" inseam is a little long, and with a reasonable sized cuff I still have some knee buckling, so I don't know what to do there. I obviously can't get them hemmed until I wash them. Actually, that's a good question. Has anyone experienced shrinking with washed KMW's? Talking your typical wash here, cold water, little detergent, air dry.

Why not? Just hem and allow a little bit for shrinkage or don't wash.

How much shrinkage could I expect? Should I get them hemmed an inch longer than I want?

That seems about right for sanforized jeans.

Why are you not supposed to wash your raw denim? Wont they get insanely smelly/dirty?

I had not heard of that particular model by Lee, I don't think you made a poor purchase. Those are cool jeans.

Just curious because i don't wear non-jeans that often: What do you guys generally wear with khakis? I know i need to get some non-sneakers and quick, but i'm just curious what works best with khakis for casual and semi-casual almost formal outfits. If you do sometimes wear sneakers for casual "forum streetwear" outfits, what kind and color sneakers do you normally wear. Cheers.
