They look a fair bit like the 2720s just with thinner temples.

I bought a pair of Levi 501s, non-raw, and have been wearing them almost every day hoping to get some fades on them. How long does it take for non-raw jeans to show fades? A year? A few years? Is it possible they'll never get fades?

Jeans eventually fade no matter what, haven't you seen those 50 year old guys wearing a baggy hockey jersey, running shoes, and some old levi's? But they've probably been wearing those things for like a decade :P

Pretty much anything can be faded, it will never have the contrast of raw denim though. No clue on the timeline. I mean, the amount of time it takes to fade APC's vs. KMW's is ridiculously different, so who knows. If you want fades, by raw, if you want cheap, 501STF. I have a friend with a decent pair of 501xx who's been wearing them 9-10 months I believe.

I was wondering why some RTW shirts come darted. I understand that darts are supposed to slim a shirt down and make it contour to your body, so I understand why someone would go to a tailor and get their shirt darted. What I don't understand is why a company/brand/designer doesn't just cut the shirt so that it fits the way it would if it had darts.

A hole developed in my raw jeans; they have about 200 wearings.

Should I just take it to a tailor and tell them to fix it however? Do I patch it? Where can I get denim for patching?

Can anyone ID the black pants Thom had on at the Grammy's? I've been looking for black pants and like these, but I can't seem to find out what they are. Any help is appreciated!

I never really understood this either - I guess it's just for looks (which I really don't understand either because I don't like the looks of darts). But there's no real practical reason that I'm aware of.

Here's what Proper Cloth has to say (I'm not affiliated):

"Rear darts are special stitching that removes fabric from the lower back of a shirt. We do not put rear-darts on any of our shirts. They break the natural flow of the shirt and look sloppy - as if they were the shirt makers afterthought or something. Rear darts are great for dresses, or other garments that should be skin tight, but we don't like them for dress shirts."

The converse all stars that champs sells are the same quality ones that zappos sells? I'm talking about the standard low top white. Is there any colab that makes a higher quality pair without any modifications on looks?

It take a whole lot to pull off boots and shorts. Can't go wrong with the classics: obviously boat shoes (sperry, Quoddy etc) are a classic look with shorts. any simple canvas slip on is a nice look too. (vans, creative rec, keds.) EDIT: Speak of the devil. There was a guy at the bar tonight wearing madras shorts and rough out ankle boots in a cream color. looked sharp.
