I posted a simple question and received zero feedback.
I asked if a certain pair of shoes were a good buy
http://www.revolveclothing.com/Displ...ey&s=B&d=b&n=s
No one responded, and now the pair is sold out.
TBH if no one responded it was probably because that brand was so small (for men) that people didn't have experience with it.

This place has a lot of info and a lot of people but not every brand is going to be covered. Sometimes you have to rely on your own instincts and judgment instead of the approval of an internet stranger or two...

Besides, what if you would have taken someone's iffy "friend-of-a-friend owns one" advice and it turned out badly?

What is a good (under 600.00) chrono watch that actually fits a small wrist without looking oversized? Something under 40 mm in diameter, prefer 35 mm but I can't seem to find anything.

For someone with bigger thighs, Average Joe might be a better option the the SJ.

I went to a boutique downtown today and tried some nudies on there. Your suggestion is definitely on point, the average joes in a size 32 did fit quite nicely, however the cut of the slim jims is more preferable to my taste. I sized up to 33 though in a pair of slim jims, so i also think you were right to call express's denim 'vanity' size. thanks for that explanation since I didn't know what that meant prior to your post.

Originally i ordered a pair of nudies online size 32x30 but i happened to notice that 32x32s in average joes didn't seem all that long at all. Needless to say, i emailed them and asked to change my order to 33x32 slim jim dry japan. Thanks for your help!

If you roll the cuff on a jean does this make it less suitable to wear with smarter footwear? I am going to buy my first pair of Selvedge denim jeans (possibly Edwin Nashville) and am wondering whether rolling up the cuff only makes the jean suitable for more casual footwear? While I'm on the subject I am not sure which jean to go for. I prefer a jean that is tighter in the seat, and from photos I have seen only Nudie seems to do this well. However, I just can't stand that orange stripe. I would consider anything that has a good fit around the backside and is not too tapered in the leg, (Sugar Cane etc) if it can be found in a shop in London with a 36 leg (preferably with a slight bootcut).

I think a cuff is fine with a dressier shoe.

In terms of the fit you're after, there are literally dozens of brands/cuts that will fit you tight in the seat if you size them right. I know there are a lot of options of Japanese brands in London, I'm just not sure where exactly.

thecorner.com has some on sale right now at 50%, I think eluxury might still have some from last season and a few from this season.

Does anyone know if raf by raf simmons sneakers fit true to size and and where they are made?

Cross-posted from the jean thread. Didn't get a reply there...

I bought a pair of Levi 501s, non-raw, and have been wearing them almost every day hoping to get some fades on them. How long does it take for non-raw jeans to show fades? A year? A few years? Is it possible they'll never get fades?

Persol 2762-s are a discontinued model: Does anyone know which current model number they most closely resemble in terms of shape and fit?

You should still be able to find a pair of the 2762-s if you look around a bit.

I agreed to buy them from someone in BST, I just wanted to duck into a Sunglass Hut on my lunch to check that they're the right size/shape for me...so I was wondering what the closest current model to them is.
