What is a really nice clean "spring" seasonal scent? Hints of ocean and forest plus leather would be of interest. I'm making this up feel free to advise.
I did order samples of these not knowing what they smell like -my entry into the scent world, for starters:

People of the Labyrinths Luctor et Emergo - Eau de Parfum
Comme des Garcons 888
Comme des Garcons Kyoto
Comme des Garcons 2 Man

Cdg 2 Man is to heavy to be worn in the spring imo, love it for night and winter activities though.

888 is the new gold one right? How do you like it? It sounded intriguing. For a spring scent, you may enjoy Creed's Bois du Portugal or CDG's Sequoia. Both have a bit of woodsy with a little bit of rum/bourbon kinda thing. I get a little leather out of the creed scent but my nose isn't very refined. I also find cdg2 a bit strong for light spring wear (except at night). Besides the 2 i named, if you were interested in staying in the CDG family, CDG White is a very light, versatile scent with some clove to it, but nice, although relatively safe considering some of the other CDG scents. You may enjoy CDG Skai from the synthetic series as there is a leather scent to my nose but not overpowering. It almost has a sweetness to it that's nice. It's very refreshing.

What kind of "streetware"? For traditional sneakers and such, the Tannery in cambridge is a good bet. For more StyleForum style, definitely checkout out Stel's on newbury. For more upscale designer stuff visit Alan Bilzerian, which is also on Newbury (on the other side and a block or 3 down i think).

Crew as well but its on the trim side already for me and their mediums are pretty blousy. It sucks being right at the cusp for between sizes.

I would probably get a small. I find hickey shirts runs true to size, though they are slim fitted through out.

Hugo and, Chronoaug, thank you. I haven't tried the 888 yet, but have sample coming and will report back. The whole fragrance thing is brand new to me so I have no brand preference. I'll be careful with the CDG 2 Man. Will add Creed's Bois du Portugal to the list. I also have a sample of 1920 Extreme by Bois 1920 coming.
Thats prolly enough to keep me busy for a while but if anyone is fanatical about a certain scent please mention it.

Just got one. I know nothing about denim, so +1 and I can't be of much help. Also, I was told by Stel's that they wouldn't stretch or shrink. Do I need to do anything like soak or go swimming in them?

Can you alter the waist of denim?

No problem. I'm also new to the fragrance game but enjoy it. The people here and gimme.gimme on superfuture are very helpful.

I had to give my tiny sample bottle of CDG Sequoia to a female friend of mine because she was almost intoxicated and wouldn't let me take it away from her, other wise i'd send it to you

. If you're looking to stay CDG for your first bigger bottle purchase, try White, Skai and Sequoia though, as they're probably the most casual and easiest to wear of the ones i've tried.

You seem like a small to me BTW.

Thanks for the help guys. I should have read the fine print of the Bluefly sale as it ended this morning at 6 AM. Is there any rhyme or reason to their flash sales that they have on occasion (20% off that is)? Is Bluefly even worth dealing with anyway?

So if i were to take a Band of Outsiders shirt along with some random jcrew, thrift or whatever button down that fit pretty well in the shoulders, a tailor would basically be able to make the cheap shirt fit like the BoO? Slimmer body, a bit shorter, slimmer/shorter arms, higher arm holes? How much would that be (i know it varies by tailor)?

There was a period when Drizzt was having shirts altered to BoO specifications and posting them in the WAYWT thread. I am not sure if he ever mentioned the cost and effort that went into it though.

If you're gonna do that, why not just use one of the HK MTM shirt businesses?

^^ I've been considering this for a while, but wasn't sure if they had "casual" fabrics. Do they really allow you to specify how high the armholes are? Or how fitted the sleeves are? Do they get it right? What are the best ones?
