Nudies recommends the same thing. I have a pair of F380s coming in and looking on this forum / SUFU, I see that a lot of people soak there jeans more than once (after the initial soak for shrinkage). So now I am confused as to whether I should not soak my new F380s until the 8 month period (like APC recommends), or soak regularly like you guys do. What is the general consensus or normal timing for soaks? Will it reduce the fades and contrasts if I do it too often? Thanks
It won't hurt anything really with Flathead. APC is pretty mediocre denim, where as flathead will be much more colorfast. APC's are, afaik, dyed differently, dyed less, and with an inferior indigo. All these things make them fade in the washing machine/soaking a lot faster. With flathead you really shouldn't have to worry about it. Some people in Japan wash their jeans 15x a year, and they still get fantastic fading. I don't have the photo, but I believe it was the owner of Flathead's (maybe Ironheart) jeans which were on display and had been washed like 17 times or something, and looked absolutely amazing as far as fades. While I'm not saying you should be that drastic, a wash/soak before 6 or 8 months isn't going to hurt anything on quality dyed denim.

With these measurements what jacket size (typically) will work best.

thanks again for all your help as I try to find a non-crappy suit.

neck: 14
shoulders: 15.5
chest:18

I was thinking 36, but am not sure. And my measurements could easily be off. I just googled suit measurement guide and tried to do my best.

thanks for the answer to my previous question. I was just wondering if the initial hot soak would shrink the leg opening of a pair of jeans? I am afraid to bring my F380s to a tailor to get em tapered.

There was a thread in MC about Harrison's (Bluefly's "house brand") suppoosedly shoddy quality. That was three years ago, and about their cashmere sheaters. Would people here advise me agains this:

Harrison black stripe thermal zip hoodie

Even from this photo, the fit looks flawed, but the design is totally up my alley. If you would advise me against this, what is similar?

cool site but doesnt seem to have any original boat shoes in navy! Thanks anyway mate... any idea if they are just out of stock or they dont' stock the navy ones?

Edit: Also, thoughts on whether the navy sperry's would/wouldn't look good with raw denim? The blue on blue clash is what worries me a tad.

Looking for suggestions for brands of jeans that offer 31x36 for tall guys like me. Looking for cuts that fit similar to Acne Max or Dior 19cm. Thanks!

I'm looking for a good online source for Ben Sherman's Harrington jacket. Any favored recommendations?

Drkshdw "detroit" cut in whatever washes fit pretty close to what you're looking for. Skull 5010s too but you probably know about those. J. Lindenberg has some fits that are pretty much like that too but i forget all the names. You might wanna check out the gilt sale tomorrow to see if they throw any of the slim-skinny jeans up.

Anyone know where I can get t-shirts that fit like American Apparel, but are made with a thicker material?
