I would like them to be a little looser around the thigh area do you think they will stretch enough b/c they arent skin tight now so not to much pressure is there, i like a slighty fitted cut will these get to that as this is my first pair of raw and have no clue as to the whole stretching deal?

should i have only sized down one?

ps anyone know how i would size in a johnbull 513BD straight leg if i like slightly fitted

The fit looks ok on you right now. 1 size bigger and it's gonna get too baggy. Then you'll have to account for the stretching. I'm guessing you've worn them for about a week? They will stretch a lot.

worn for about 7 hours...so the will stretch to a more slightly fitted in the thighs even though there isn't significant pressure except when sitting etc...any idea on the john bull sizing...i assume apc new standards would be around the same sizing right and if i got a slightly slimmer jean like a apc new cure i would only size down one? sorry for all the questions thanks btw

Not even a day. You've still got a lot of stretching to do. Sleep in them to get the stretching out. That's some defined honey combs you're already getting for less than a day. Not too familiar with John Bulls. But APC is always size down 2. If you're suffering with your Even Stevens, I wouldn't even recommend NCs.

I'll be in chicago for a few days next week, where can one try on and perhaps purchase some APC denim? Thanks in advance.

semi tight jeans, i guess you could go apc rescues (size down two) for someone who's not too familiar with raw denim and the whole idea of stretching. slim jim's true to waist or size down one if you can deal with it. a bunch of starter jeans essentially

nudie's have a huge collection that you can look at :edit: take that back, wouldn't recommend unsanforized denim unless you do your homework

All Nudies are sanforized, FYI.

yeah i already know that

i was about to recommend samurai's cause they have a huge collection but teaching about unsanforized denim and the whole sizing mess would be a pain, so i edited out. didn't mean to say that i don't recommend nudies because they are unsanforized.

Okay, I need some help. At the end of April I will start a internship at UBS for my senior project. I have a problem with finding dress shirts that fit right. I am tall and skinny so usually I have to get larger shirts for length. What I wanted to know is, can a shirt be tailoring in the neck area? I am trying to achieve a over all slim silhouette.

why are the Pantofola D'Oro shoes at brooks brothers $598 when the price range (for different models) on Yoox are $100-180. I get the idea of different materials, etc (e.g. Alden vs. Alden cordovan) what makes the bb 3x better?

***update --> the bb shoes are now listed as unavailable??? and removed completely from the website, you can still see them on the link below....

I enjoy looking at the pictures in some of the Denim magazines; the only problem is all I can do is look at pictures because i don't read Japanese. Does anyone know of any English language, or translated copies of magazines like 'lightning' et cetera?

How difficult is it to have the lining of a jacket removed completely? I have a polyester-lined linen jacket. Is this too difficult to bother with?

Basically, you can't tailor a shirt in the neck or the shoulders, meaning it would be prohibitively expensive and look like a mutant shirt in the end.

You can get shirts that fit in the neck, shoulder, and sleeves and take them in, which is relatively cheap, but you want internet MTM. tailorstore.com, mytailor.com, Jantzen. Do some searching.

Err'one is looking for slim chinos these days. Recommendations range from Uniqlo Vintage Chinos, Jcrew Slim fit (i dislike these a lot), gap straight leg (fadetoblack wears them to get a fit idea), Our Legacy (from tres bien shop), and then higher end brands like margiela, helmut lang, costume national and swedish brands acne, whyred, filippa k, etc...

Here is a solid looking white chino i had been thinking about
