I'm looking to get a straight cut jean and I have a few options I need input on. Right now I'm considering: NDG Classic cut, KMW 1950 (how fully cut are these?), Flathead F380 and Skull 5507. I have skulls 501xx (which I might sell in order to finance one of these), so the skulls are at the bottom of my list now but they're still being considered. Just general input would be nice. Might have more specific inquires later. Edit: at this point, I'm mainly considering Nom de Guerre and KMW. How skinny is 1980 compared to say New Standards (I assume they're not close to say Skull 501xx?)?.

I just started getting into SF/SuFu recently, and one thing I have a hard time figuring out is how to tell if a shirt/hoody/jacket fits well. My measured chest size is ~37", yet I wear large AA t-shirts (shrunk from laundry) that are supposedely for a 42-44 chest, and the fit looks good to my eye.

So, what do you guys look for in judging how well a shirt/hoody/jacket fits? Also, if my chest is 37", about what size shirt would be appropriate?

One more thing - I'm tall and skinny - 6'2", 170lbs... so it seems to me that I would run into the problem of all shirts/hoodies/jackets being either a) too loose in the chest but with good length and sleeve length, or b) too short in the sleeves or length but with good chest size. Is this true, or am I just being paranoid?

I got this Juicy couture jacket a week ago but I will have to return it for something more…sporty. The problem is that that where I got it they don’t have anything I like!

If ordering something from Brooks Brothers online, do they ship in plain boxes or boxes with "Brooks Brothers" on them? I'd like to have it sent to the office and while nobody cares if you're having personal items shipped, I'd prefer to avoid it if possible.

I would say a warm brown. Goes with corduroy's season and complements other fall/winter colors. I'm looking for some gray cords, myself, but I'd buy brown first.

I don't really know what you're asking, but I will be self-deprecatingly honest and say that I've always sort of liked the Juicy Couture men's stuff. I believe most of it is made in the US, and what I've seen has nice materials and a really good fit.

Although, if that's a velvet jacket, I'm not really into it. You could make it work, but you'd have to be able to pull it off.

I've also found some incredibly soft shirts at Banana Republic outlets. When you find them on sale, they're really darn cheap.

I would guess you'd look better in a small or medium. Search around the forum for "tall" and "t shirt" and see what pops up. There's been a few threads on the subject. I'm short, so I haven't read them.

Why not buy that one? If they don't have your size, try calling around to Macy's stores.

For those of you who have gotten the Red Wing 1911 Gentleman Traveler boots from Cultizm.com, do the Euro-sourced version of the boot have the Red Wing logo at the ankle? Here's their stock photo:



I'm just returning a pair from Zappos that were slightly too large (I didn't size down 1/2) and they are out of stock in the size that I want. The ones that came from Zappos do not have the Red Wing logo at the ankle and that is what I would prefer.
