Hi. I'm looking for clothes this man is wearing in picture, because I think that ensemble is just awesome. Do you have any suggestions about how or where to find clothes/accessories like that? I would really appreciate help.

looks like part of the leather near the bottom of my boot isn't tucked under and makes the captoe look a bit irregular. Should I be concerned? Or am I being way too picky?

They fit perfectly, I am just concerned that it may get worse with wear, or perhaps it would pose problems when I want to get them resoled.

If it doesn't hurt the integrity of the shoe and is just cosmetic, whatever. What to you think?

where to get long-sleeve basics with a slim body / high armholes and long arms? i like stacking on longsleeves and i also have long arms.

I think W+H/Spurr may make something like that. As for those boots, doesn't look like a major defect that would cause the shoe to have any problems beyond the tiny aesthetic one. Alden's a good company though so if you feel so inclined I'm sure they'd be able to sort it out (although it'd require relasting the shoe so they may be slightly disinclined to do so)

Does anyone know where I can get Martin&Martin eyeglasses frames? I like their transparent frames. Also does anyone know any other sellers of these transparent frames?

In my experience it's easier to discern quality after owning, washing, wearing, etc a pair for a while.. obviously, because that's when not-so-great jeans show signs of wear/tear. Just looking for features like tailored belt loops, selvedge, chainstitching could mislead you. But anyway, I expect well-constructed jeans to be made with heavy wear in mind. Thick, heavy and tightly woven denim, reinforced stress areas, narrow stitching w/ more durable thread. That's a little harder to distinguish but the cheaper stuff sticks out to me, I think lower quality stuff is a lot more easy to distinguish.

this made alotta sense to me, thankyou* that solvesit@!

Try American Apparel... I found the bodies and arms way too long for me, although apparently they do shrink in the wash.

I've been looking around for pics of how black selvedge denim looks after fading, and most of the pics that I've found have either been brand new black jeans or pre-washed black jeans. Does anyone have pictures of how raw black jeans fade over time? I'm looking into getting the 3Sixteen SL-200X Straight Leg Black Selvedge, so any pics of those faded would be awesome too.
Thanks in advance!
Check the "post pics of your denim" thread here on Styleforum. Also a few other sites I think MyNudies or SuperFuture, maybe HonestForums(?) has a gallery which will include raw blacks. I remember seeing a great pair of faded out blacks, but in general raw blacks are very tough to fade. Check for APC New Cures and Nudies Dry Black

mmm, questionable IMO. It's a matter of trust. I trust that the stuff sold here is bought by people like me and it's of generally good taste, quality, etc and they are either selling good stuff tehy no longer want or flipping something they think is great but they don't want. Thrifting means a whole unknown history ie zero accountablility and unless YOU know what you're doing, I don't want to see pages crammed with 30 year old sportscoats that I was assuming you only had from a few years back, ie EBay... so IMO, if you know what you're doing and can tell if the stuff is relatively good quality and recent, then ok, if not, don't flood the B&S with old nasty shit please.

I have a Question: I recently bought a nice croc belt in a foreign country but it came with a crappy/ugly buckle. Does anyone have ideas/sources for buying nice (business/suit appropriate) belt buckles? Thanks

I have a bunch of AA, and i'm like perfectly stuck inbetween a medium and a small. Mediums fit me in the chest but are big everywhere else, and smalls are just tight.

No. It's a majorly strange market. Other than cast pewter harley davidson/western/'budweiser' crap, the buckle market seems to be entirely driven by bulk overseas wholesale distributors. There's no way to find one or two. One place to look is John Wye's site. He has a custom stainless buckle he has made which is very nice (email him - he's a nice guy). There's also Tanner goods, which sells theirs separately in stainless. http://www.jonwye.com/Black_Brown_Belts_s/34.html http://www.tannergoods.com/?page_id=12&category=9 Other than that, I've found craft and leather places like this: http://www.lpcollection.com/MENS-BELT-BUCKLES.html

Buy and Sell.

It is referring to that division of the forums.
