To MSZA, I think it would depend on the condition of the item. If it's relatively new (or you can renew it), then I don't see why you can't sell it as "used"? B+S items are usually used so you could just judge the wear/tear on the item and list the conditions accordingly. Whether it's used by the seller or in your case, a previous owner that you never met, it's still "used" . However, I think you should do your best to renew the item (clean? spot clean? polish?) before you sell the thrifted good. My own question: I'll be going to a dinner party some sort this saturday and it's formal (though not a black tie event). I have the following options. Light blue OCBD, Light Purple OCBD, Light Blue Fine cloth buttondown Only one tie - Navy/green knit Black wingtips with mauve laces. Suit color - To be determined. With the options I have, what color suit should I get? There's the option of black, charcoal or dark navy. I'm only 18 so I'll be getting something cheap, but functional so I could wear it for interviews too (which is why I'm not too liking the black). I was thinking a dark navy suit, with either the purple or the blue button down, the knit tie (to make the fit less formal) and maybe even a green PS. How's that sound?

Noob question for you guys about the "finish" (is there a better word?) on cotton shirts; Is the finish on the second of these shirts suitable for casual wear like to college? This first one is obviously very casual, with all the creases etc: http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/635...5600vliv01.jpg But this second one has a far "dressier" finish. It looks much more like the finish I'd expect to see on a dress shirt. The material felt thinner to me and much smoother. http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/7712/shirtb.png Is that type of finish fine for with jeans and sneakers or should it be kept more for going out?

..Finish? Dude, I hope you know the first one has creases because the company purposely wrinkled it like that. If you ironed it out, it'd look the same as the second one.

Anyone have any recommendations for slim-fitting cords? Looking to spend under $100. Thanks in advance.

What do you guys think of these boots from Clarks?

@Travo: Look at Gap authentics (I have a pair myself for $20) or if you like skinny (+colored) try Uniqlo for 30-40. @Stylebart: The stitching is kinda awkward+I don't like the black sole. If you like that kind of styling, why not some Timberland Earthkeepers?
