Any recommendations on a shirt to go with wide wale corduroy pants? I was thinking a chambray, but I'm open to suggestions. Denim would be fine, too, but not too casual or distressed because I need to be able to wear it to work. If it matters, I'm 6' 2", 190 pounds. Thanks!

^ oxford cloth button down (plain, unistripe) or chambray. I´d wear some plaids aswell mysellf, but dont know what your work setting says about that.

If I tuck my shirt in, that makes my seat look more prominent.

Whats a good pair of chinos to go with my epaulet and gitman vintage button downs? Not looking for extremely dressy, more along the lines of versatile that I can play down with chucks and or go a little less casual with dress boots.

Not necessarily a bad thing--it gets me compliments. How do the first two shirts fit on your shoulders? The pictures are small but they seem a bit tight. I try to find shirts that fit my shoulders well, then dart them if the body is too baggy. That could be a solution for you.

Damn, you're working quick! What colors are these shirts?

Just got three EF Merino sweaters in small from the Uniqlo Fall '09. They fit smaller than gap/jcrew. The flannels in small fit larger. Weird.

Oxford, chambray, denim would all be my picks. Flannel too, although I like the texture contrast of something smoother with wide wale cords.

Anyone know of any online mtm shirtmakers that have flannel as one of their regular fabrics?

What is the general consensus on white tennis shoes during winter? I'm thinking of getting some all-white Stan Smith's. Are they more of a Spring/summer shoe?

yes, if its cold where you live...your feet will be cold. If you live somewhere like Chicago, when its 10 degrees out in January your feet will be numb (not to mention they won't do real well in snow)...however if you live somewhere where it stays decently warm year round, like LA, I don't see a problem with them

I'd personally say it's a tough match. One is prep to the extreme (especially without socks), while the other fits a different aesthetic. You can easily stray into dad-outfit territory here.

Maybe if we're talking hi-tops, but those Stan Smiths mean "warm weather" to me. I'd call them a S/S shoe unless you're in Florida.

if it works, do it!

I am really feeling the f/w this season though. only other thing I can't find that I want is the peppered sweater.

The shoulders fit perfect. I was trying to pose and take good pictures. so they looked a little tight.

I just checked the mjk website and I saw that there are also slight tail break. I guess it is something that it hard to avoid.

^^Well those shirts on his website have a slight taper at the hem. So you're comparing apples and oranges, esp since he's got a different frame from you. I think you're overanalyzing this--you just have a certain kind of frame. Embrace your "prominent seat!"
