Thanks guys. I did tell her I'd phone her. She may not hurt me if I don't but I have grown quite attached to my cat, and I'd hate to find him simmering in a pot on my stove top this weekend.

Why do you assume she's psychotic? Just call her and tell her you don't think it'll work out. It would've taken 2 minutes and you don't have to carry this guilt.

I'm with tiger and sauce on this. If you're genuinely worried about the psycho thing, block your number or borrow a phone or something. Say "It was nice meeting you, and I appreciate your making the effort, but I've decided I'm not interested in getting together again. I wish you the best." If she persists, or wants to know why, I'd just say "I'm sorry, I just don't think that's a useful conversation. You're a nice person and I wish you well. Goodbye." Click.

+1 to GT's remark

GT, you might have had a blind date show up, who was loosing her hair badly, but thankfully, hair loosers are not common.

Porkers are a dime a dozen (and I've had more than my share!).

But baldies are rare!

Oh Yeah, Dakota Rube,
Don't feel gulity if you don't call her. It seems she should have a little pang of guilt about not updating her photo, and misleading people

True, but in no way inconsistent with DR manning up and doing the right thing himself.

Maybe it was just some temporary hormonal issue if the photo was taken in the last couple years.

Not bad. I'd give it a solid B+. For additional style points, you need a larger font as well as all caps and an exclamation point. FAT CHANCE! Also, for optimum effect, vanity should be all lower case.

Unless I missed something, Dakota wasn't out on a date with Helen Keller.

+1.

You said you would call her and that's that. If you weren't interested at the end of the date you should have told her then. Man up and make the call.

Looks like they need to step up the curriculum down there in CR

Fat doesn't equal diabetic and that article didn't say that obese people are more likely to have vision problems than normal-weight persons. Besides, for all we know that girl could have just been big-boned. I don't tell you how to dress for leather thong night at the Manhole, so please don't give me medical advice.

Big boned? Please. If she gained 70 lb from her previous pictures, that's clearly not the case unless she somehow underwent bone growth. Just because you're used to using the term to refer to your women doesn't mean it applies in this case.

While it's not necessarily a causal relationship, there's a clear link between obesity and type 2 diabetes, and a clear link between type 2 (or type 1) diabetes and blindness. I could quote a litany of research papers but I don't think it's necessary.
