You often read on SF about people getting harassed for dressing nicely. I doubt that happens to Butler. If he is ever offering gravitas lessons, I am signing up.

Butler, the sleeve openings of your jackets look quite wide; I suppose this is deliberate? I don't understand it, to my eye, smaller would look a lot better (and your shirt fits very close to the wrist).

Well, that is the way Steven Hitchcock/A & S cuts them, very comfortable and with the right amount of room for the french cuffs,me thinks! bigstar[1].gif

I'm not sure I entirely agree; I think gradations of depth are permissible. Here. for instance, is my own slipped waistcoat:



I would say that is it mid-way between the two examples given. Although I cannot confidently date it, it is a genuine vintage article and I have not tampered with the slip placing in any way.
