Morning suit/stroller fit pic's - Page 2

Here are some examples of different greys. These are all wedding silks and can be had by a number of different companies for a range of prices:

Maybe a grenadine as well if you like texture (though I admit I am not sure if they are correct with a stroller):

this would be the only one I really like out of that pile.

I like that one too. You can probably get some more variety by doing a Google search for "wedding ties." There are definitely more wedding tie designs than I linked to, and even some things that have a lot of grey in them but are not technically wedding ties.

Didn't know Hober has wedding ties too!

The grenadine is definitely inappropriate -- way too casual.

Yeah, I kind of thought grenadine was a bit more casual and better suited for lounge suits than anything more formal, but figured OP might like the texture in case I was wrong. Oh well.

+1 on those vests. Would you consider those two pairs of pants interchangable between the outfits, Butler?

HRH is wearing a morning suit said to have been made by Anderson and Shepherd about 15/20 years ago.

In principle, yes! I would wear the darker ones with the morning suit to a funeral, the lighter ones at more festive occasions. bigstar[1].gif

Spot one mistake? His waistcoat slip is showing too much - it is only supposed to be just visible bigstar[1].gif

Damn butler after seeing that pic of you in your morning suit makes my attempt look very sloppy.

Back to the drawing board for me.

Wait. You have a morning coat and are thinking about not wearing it? Why on earth wouldn't you? Seize the opportunity. You look great in it!

I'm not sure I entirely agree; I think gradations of depth are permissible. Here. for instance, is my own slipped waistcoat:

I would say that is it mid-way between the two examples given. Although I cannot confidently date it, it is a genuine vintage article and I have not tampered with the slip placing in any way.
