After almost a year of watching I finally took the plunge (when the euro/dollar conversion was at its best) Black shell cordovan.

Ordered directly from http://www.menshoes.de/en/. Katrin took good care of me. Delivery took 2 weeks DHL, no import fees.

Shoes are very well made, generous fit, on the wide side. I ordered a full size down from my US size. Fit is roomy but I didn't want to go smaller. Thick socks will help fill them out.

Unfortunately, Dinkelacker has very few retail outlets that carry a wide selection of their shoes
even in "Mitteleurope". I am a very difficult fit and would be asking for trouble if I ordered online.
So, in anticipation of a trip last fall to Munich, Salzberg, and Vienna, after touring Italy, I requested
retailers which carried their shoes. Except for a place somewhere on the border between Germany
and Austria which would have meant my renting a car, they only came up with three shops in
Munich. None in Salzberg nor Vienna. I visited all three shops in Munich and found extremely limited
selections as in maybe four models at large and high-end mens shop and fewer in the others.
