let me know if anyone's thinking of a Bonafe chukka GMTO...

Happen to be wearing 64 last today

Thanks for the input guys. Do you think the size of your foot matters when determining last to use? I kind of feel like wider more relaxed fit lasts like the 64 might look disproportionate with my small 6.5 feet but I'm wondering if I'm just being silly.

Considering the stock Skoak model was unavailable in my size, I thought let's see if we can do something slightly different. This boot would be killer and at an awesome price. Definitely post your interest and PM me if you have any questions.

So here are the specs that I was thinking of (and I am obviously willing to hear other thoughts/recommendations to get it off the ground):

Burgundy Highland Grain
Exposed antiqued brass eyelets
Double Dainite with storm welt
MH71
Lining color?

Just to whet your appetites, here is the current version of the Thorpe in a country grain that Skoak stocks:

And here is a swatch of the burgundy highland grain:

Just a friendly reminder, in order to avoid the MTO fee, the first five pairs would have to all have the same width.

Friends, just a quick Monday evening update - I have gotten a couple of requests for brown highland grain instead and if that is what it takes to get this off the ground, I would be happy to go with brown highland grain as well. My preference is still burgundy, but hoping we can get five for either burgundy or brown before the end of the week. Fingers crossed.

Interested in Burgundy highland grain in the standard E width:

Myself (chrk33) (confirmed)
@ikaika122 (confirmed)
@Nullson (confirmed)
@rydenfan (diligence)
@KenRose (diligence)
@sacafotos (diligence)

@tifosi (diligence)

If we can just flip two of those members who are in the diligence stage for the burgundy highland grain, we will be ready to roll. If you are interested in joining the Thorpedo, then we can get the ball rolling with Skoak ASAP. Please PM me if you are interested or have any questions.

The 64 is a great Last for a real country boot (bigger and broader round toe) look in my opinion. It certainly isn't the casual\dressy sleek 82 Last.

@dddrees and @Ironist, instead of the Nevis that didn't happen, any interest in hopping on the Thorpedo GMTO I am proposing?

Sorry not at this time, but thanks for the invite.

The G&G black Sinatra is tempting, but I have the Enzo Bonafe Darth Vader already... although the EB leather is obviously thinner & their fiddle back is a joke (sorry but it is actually how I feel)

how do you mean?

Just to clarify, the suola a schiena d’asino (or "donkey back") is designed to be a mere beveled waist similar to a fiddle back. It is not a fiddle back by definition.

Great. Looking forward to them.

EDIT: I'm not sure the note in my order reached you. But I would like for my shoes to be delivered with the kind of laces that are depicted in the picture.

How is the fit for the 3200 Modified last? I'm a size 10US but take a 9.5UK in Carmina Rain. Thanks.

The model is 3200, the last is 946. Fits very close to Carmina Rain, we recommend using the same size.

Great, thanks. Is it possible to add rubber/metal toe taps (at cost)?
