@tifosi and @rydenfan, you guys are the absolute best. I love it. Is the E width fine with you guys?

You can see the various grain leather swatches here - they definitely have a brown highland grain but I just thought the burgundy highland grain had a bit more visual interest, but didn't veer to far into the red family. And would provide a nice deep color that could brighten our dreary winter lives. shog[1].gif The Chestnut pin grain seemed much more red, which I wanted to avoid.

Personally...my closet is a sea of burgundy. I am trying to branch out.

E width is standard width, right?

In case you guys decide to go with brown color, may I suggest navy lining to go with that. it looks great against brown color.

I don't think I'd be down with that. I'm cool with a lighter brown that more or less matches the upper, but I wouldn't want anything contrasting personally.

Fair enough re: burgundy. Let's see if there is any interest in burgundy but Tifosi, I will keep you in the brown highland camp.

And yes, E is their standard width.

I am not sure how viable an antique style edge trim would be with the dainite, but I wouldn't be opposed to an antique style welt and/or edgetrim. Rydenfan, would you be down with the burgundy highland grain if we can find 3 more?

give me a day to consider. Might be different from what you had in mind but I would also be open to black highland grain or black pig skin with brass eyelets. I've been wanting a black boot. Let me think about it over the weekend and I'll Pm you

Sounds good - not interested in a black boot, but definitely let me know. Thanks! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

We generally wouldn't consider somewhat stretched and/or flattened grain as an issue as it's fairly common. But as laufer points out, this was indeed a little too much.

Oooh Thrope MTO sounds tempting! Though I wouldn't count for the 5 needed. What is current delivery for them right now - 5 months?

Speaking of MTOs anybody interested in acorn Kudu leather? Maybe an Isham on mh71? Also there is a paler kudu like Epaulet's Carminas or a charcoal Kudu as well

Yeah just not really a chukka fan and have ptb in kudu now so a bit of overlap. There is that mountain ram chukka from years ago that was pretty epic here:

Not at the moment. I think Skoak has some shearling lined models in stock. Other than that, no.
