Coming from a guy that doesn't like plain toe shoes...I really like those Olive PTBs.

Chukkas look great. Given the slightly darker shade and dainite soles, wouldn't they be appropriate for Fall wear? I have the Alden snuff suede flex welts which are great for Spring/Summer, but their use pretty much ends there. I am looking for a chukka that can be worn in Fall/Winter.

I'd rock those year round without a doubt.

+1

I am seriously considering them. I just don't have any experience with the Detroit last

I hear it is Barrie-ish. I believe not quite as much volume, though.

I think you are right. Now I just need to get them added to my string loafer shipment to avoid double shipping. Hopefully not too late.

The peeps at Skoak will have better info, but I know it is a wider fitting last - more in a group with Rain and Soller - opposite end of the spectrum from the slender Simpson. I tried on a pair once, but it was long enough ago that I can't give any fit specifics other than generally a wider fitting last.

@Braddock - very sharp!
