Thanks Patrick. So, who is interested in a MTO on the Double Monk in suede? I am open to other colours as the grey was not dark enough for me.

Uetam: UK 8.5

MH71: UK 8 F

DG70: UK 8 F

GG06: UK 8 F

Alex I notice your sizing is very consistent across all brands that you carry.

Can I ask why you take G&G in all F fittings rather then sizing up a half size? Do you have a wide foot? Or does G&G fit very narrow in standard E fittings? I only ask because it seems as most sizing recommendations on this board say to go up a half size in length.

Is Gaziano & Girling narrow fitting for you necessitating a F width or is Bonafé standard width kinda wide? I'm a solid UK10E (regular width) in Gaziano & Girling TG73 and DG70 and in Edward Green 888. What size and width would I be in Bonafé?

8.5E fits me as well, though I prefer a shorter and wider fit.

The general recommendation is to size up half a size. It works for me as well but is not really my preferred fit. I linger between a standard and wide fitting depending on last and maker, so I would not say that I have a wide foot in that sense.

Please note that the list does not constitute any general recommendations.

The Enzo Bonafé lasts are more generous in general than the Gaziano & Girling and Edward Green lasts, particularly around the instep (the only exception being the 804 last). I would say that you generally would be a UK9.5 in Enzo Bonafé.

I do well in a 7.5 on the Forest last.

I also can do an 8E in Barrie.

Yes, but EG does not size their shoes differently for us. The size marked on the shoe is 8/8.5. You are essentially going TTS. No 1 full size down Carmina business with EG.

The chisel toe of the 946 last as pronounced as it looks in those photos? It seems almost square along the sides from a couple of angles. Not that it really matters since the claret museum austerity brogues are already sold out in 9.5.  :censored: Beautiful make-up, though.

This last has a tendancy to look more aggressive on photos than it is IRL.

^^ I second that - I have 2 pairs on that last and I think the lighting in the photo accentuates it much more then if you were to see it IRL.
