GG Canterbury..

I completely second @rnguy001's opinion on these Canterbury boots which I also received from Skoaktiebolaget yesterday.

The awesomeness of Skoaktiebolaget’s service cannot be emphasized enough:

The boots arrived 3 days ahead of schedule!  This is the second time that something like this happens with an order placed with Skoaktiebolaget (and, I guess we all agree it usually works the other way around as delivery delays are staple nowadays).

And what’s more, I received alerts from Skoaktiebolaget to let me know the order was on the delivery truck:  How many times before that did I forget to enable the carrier’s alerts just to find the “sorry we missed you” slip on the door instead of being there to receive the package?

Also, I am amazed at how fast Skoaktiebolaget answers questions:  Send them an email and you'll regularly find their answer in your box within a couple hours (or even less than that!).

I am delighted by the boots, and, I don’t think service can get much better than Skoaktiebolaget’s.

Most excellent.  And now the black dress boot spot is pretty much settled for life.

@leaves does the Carlos Santos grain/suede field boot GMTO come with genuine Dainite soles? I noticed that the calf/grain field boot GMTO mentions genuine dainite rubber soles while grain/suede field boot GMTO only mentions dainite. I'm probably nitpicking but just wanted to be sure.

Crosspost from the Bonafe thread: trial shoe (Click to show)

The trial shoe has just a rudimentary sole and the aubergine leather is not yet finished. Two spots have to be widened slightly, otherwise I like it very much.

This is a comparison with the Carmina Simpson last, my best fitting last so far. Carmina is UK 9 with lots of wasted space at the tip. My foot was estimated by Bonafe as UK 7,5!

Next trunk show is this weekend, I would attend if I could reach Stockholm quickly. I have two more shoes incoming on my last:happy:
