My shoes would definitely hold up better over time if I didn't have to actually walk in them.

If done properly, and with the only differences between the shoes being the construction method, handwelted shoes are more durable than GYWs.
And IMO, Blake rapids are also more durable than GYWs, but not as durable as handwelted shoes.

Another late post. Enzo Bonafe chelsea boots in 74945 last. I had some problems with the boots but the gents at Skoak took care of their customer as usual. Many thanks again to the team.

Just throwing this out there... people around here go stomping around in handwelted, ostrich/gator/caiman/goat/etc boots on the regular.  $600 would be a steal.

They're not nearly as ...urbane... as these lovely button boots will be, of course.

Patrik, when are y'all going to start carrying ML Leddy and Lucchese?

The brown cap toes as pictured looks stunning but why the blake construction in the GMTO? Due to demand or trying out something new?

IMO the blake construction as pictured on the pre-order page almost gets to sleek to the point

of looking like a cemented construction.

I'm wondering why as well. It looks to me in the reference picture it does show blake construction, not blake rapid. I've been keen to give blake rapid a try upon further research of goodyear vs blake rapid.

Just wanted to try something a little different fellas - no biggie. I wanted to give people the option to get a super slim dress shoe. This is indeed Blake and not Blake Rapid. Blake Rapid won't be as slim.
