Went to pick up some suede care, and couldn't help picking up one of those new Sozzi Pocket Squares.

Question - is there more than one model of Bonafe Chukka - independent of last choice?  I seem to recall some in the past that had the facings closer together like this (different last, I know, but the overall design seems different to me):

So Roger, are you a game for chukka like this? Maybe in buffalo leather?

Actually, I will be soon be proposing a GMTO (or else a fellow forum member will) for a Vitello Etrusco chukka on the 74945 last based on this model.  We have most of the deets worked out and will canvas for a third (or more, of course) participant shortly.

That's a nice choice but I will pass. I have two G&G chukkas in colors very similar to Vitello Etrusco.

@Leaves : do you plan to make again a new Carmina longwing like the Horween football print one ?

One does reach a point where making new additions that are not duplicative can be ..... difficult.  Or so I have been told, lol!

I would love to have an Arran in the mix, but subscribing F-width GMTOs is more than difficult.

On the plus side, I have just discovered that the C&J Tetbury offers Arran-esque lines and is a really good fit for me.

In terms of the quality of leather, subjective, I know, is it pretty much the case that EG, StC and G&G are equal and that EB and Carmina are of a lesser quality but equal to each other?
If there is a shoe hierarchy thread can someone point me in that direction?
Thank for any help.

^^^ I'd put EB above, not equal to, Carmina.  And I say that as a huge fan of Carmina.

But can you really make comparisons between carmina and eb calf leathers? EB does not use vegano calf leather. Maybe the right comparison would
But can you really compare their calf leather to each other? EB doesn't use vegano calf leather. Maybe the right comparison would be Carminas natur calf vs EB vitello? vegano is different from vitello. I don't think you can compare them as both are different types of calf leathers, maybe natur calf vs EB vitello? vegano is different from vitello. Sure I can compare them - but keep in mind it is nothing more than my subjective perception of their comparative quality - not an absolute or quantifiable declaration of superiority.  And while there may be differences between them, we are still talking about comparing one smooth calf shoe leather to another - not comparing smooth calf to shell or suede.  In the latter circumstance I think it could be fairly said that direct comparisons are difficult - and yet I still think you would have little difficulty in concluding, for example, that AE calf is not as good quality as St. Crispin's suede.
