In fact, it doesn't have much to do with Forest (only the fit as you say).

From a top view it looks similar to EG 82, classic almond shape, but what I really dig about the 74945 is that the toe box in profile is chiseled. It's a classic last but if you look very closely you will of course notice this feature. It's a bit hard to see in a photo, but I recommend anyone that has not tried this last to give it a go.

For reference I wear:
EG 82 UK 11.5 F
G&G MH71, GG06 UK 11.5 F
Carmina Rain UK 11
Carmina Forest UK 11.5 (a bit tight in the instep)
Bonafè 74945 UK 11.5 - fits like a glove - the only shoes I have that fits better than the ones on 74945 are my StCs but this is a personal last.

For the museum calf Adelaide MTO, is it a reasonable assumption to think that if we haven't gotten an invoice yet, we're in batch 2 next week?

I just received an final invoice today, some will receive their next week, as the previous email about the gmto indicated.

Would you fellas speak to Carmina's offerings for women?  My wife was looking over my shoulder while I was peeking through SkoaB's Carmina section, saw the lady Jodhpurs, and started asking questions to which I had no good answers.

Quick look through Carmina's site gives little info as to sizing, lasts, etc for women's shoes.

Given this is under "Classic Menswear," I understand I might be asking the wrong question in the wrong bar...

I'm sure if you send an email to Gabriel, he'll shoot you the lowdown on the ladies lineup.

I initially bought the suede boot for my wife, with some sizing advice from another SF member. At that point that was the only ladies shoe offered.

My wife absolutely loves them. Finds them very comfortable and can wear them pretty much all day without concern.

As to which last, you got me, but the other offerings now do have different lasts. That jodhpur is really nice though, might have to get those for my wife too so I can keep on ordering from Skoak!!

I might be able to help. My wife has a pair of bluchers on the Madison last, if that helps.

Can vouch that 74945 last is chiseled but not overly so and supremely comfortable from the first wear (though the instep is definitely higher than any Carmina shoe I've ever tried).

Not at this point, maybe in December.

I think you should maybe ask them directly, our Women's offering is very limited and we will probably not expand this. I think this is a great place to ask too though. My wife is a solid EU 38 and she wears UK 5.5 in most Carmina lasts. @LA Guy might also be able to help, he got a pair from us to his wife too (actually same style I got for my wife if I recall correctly).

My wife is a us 9, eu 39, and the UK size 6 fit perfectly.  The size 5.5 was too small.

My gf is usually 6.5US, 37EU and takes 4 in Carmina. If she wears specific brands I can probably give you what my gf wears for them. The jodhpur boot is really nice, I got one for my gf

An amusing bit of trivia, in many Asian cultures there is a (rather ridiculous) superstition, about buying shoes for one's partner, it's considered bad luck for the relationship. As your partner would "run away". Haha.

Could be considered good luck depending on one's circumstances. wink.gif
